Finally starting

We have moved to Singapore with Miika now two months ago. Before leaving, I was certain we would start a blog, writing about our experiences and displaying photos for our friends, but we never did, as I've always been very lazy in these things. I'm even very lazy to answer my e-mails, leaving them waiting for the near future, that gets postponed :) Oh well, maybe I learn someday to be more efficient with my time and my things to do, but hey, it's totally up to me what I want!

But let's get back to business.. Singapore so far has been great, some days more and some days less, but still great. We came here with focused mind to move abroad, to enjoy and learn this experience as best as we could. We don't have any plans about moving back to Finland, that day comes when it comes, but we don't want any tight plans to limit our options here. I don't say we will be here for good, we keep our minds open to anything. Floating, y'know. I hope this doesn't upset my parents or friends, I'm sure we will be visiting you and you will be visiting us, our doors are always open for our dear friend travelling the Far East and needing a place to stay or a guide for this wonderful city!

I'm not working at the moment so I have a lot of time in my hands. People keep asking me how I spend my days; I don't know, the time flies quite fast and I still manage to try out new things and see new places. I spend quite a lot of time at the computer now, but I've been actually enjoying it after being working quite alot during past few years. I've actually found a lot of new and interesting opportunities and information during the past few weeks. My focus for life is still a bit blurry - moving here from the safe environment with people and things I knew very well, from my safe haven, to a place with a lot of new things and really not owning almost nothing - it has been a bit of a struggle sometimes. But I think I'm starting to find my mind-set again, and those moments of almost unbearably missing my friends and my family, I think they are becoming much easier to handle (if you even have to handle them?) and to beare.

The enjoyment is starting to rise! This post has been mostly about the emotional rollercoaster especially I have been during our move and now I think we are truly settleing in. Future posts will be about the places we've visited and people we have met, and how are we and how are the dogs, so my friends and family will be posted about us. I'll still update my facebook statuses, and hopefully I will soon start to post some photos here too. We should really get a decent camera soon, the quality of the resent photos took with my phone aren't really that good!
