A little update of Silu and Noppa - the case of dog run visits.

I'm training adding images here, and these are the ones a started with, so this will be a little update about Noppa and Silu.

This is a picture from the West Coast Park dog run. It is the biggest of the three existing dog runs in Singapore where you can keep your dog off leash. We've been there now two times with Noppa and Silu, and boy, do they like or what!

Because you can't take dogs to public transportation, and walking about 6 km in this heat and humidity just to get to the park is just too much, we have to take a taxi to get there. Not all of the drivers accept us on a ride, especially 'cos there's two (!) dogs, last time we waited almost half an hour for a ride.. Next time we're going do the I will call a cab in advance and hope some driver takes the opportunite to drive us there :). The fare isn't bad though, if it's not peak hour time, the ride is about S$6, so that's about 3 euros! Peak hour fare is +35% to the total amount. There is special pet taxis and spacier taxis here also, but they charge a lot more, easily S$20!

In the picture there's Silu wondering with our new dog friends, Rekku, a fox terrier, and Urho, a white shepherddog (is that the english name? eli valkoinen paimenkoira); the dogs of our new Finish friends. We met Rekku and Raisa (the owner) at the quarantine station, where Silu and Noppa spent the first 30 days in S'pore. Urho and Heli (the owner) we met through Raisa. As you can see, Urho is quite a giant dog, and for him it's especially hard to get a taxi ;).

It had been raining the previous night of our visit, so the dog run was very muddy. The dogs really needed some serious cleaning before entering the taxi!

I will write about the quarantine in the future, but to say it simply, it was much better than we expected and the dogs actually took it quite well! We have now two much calmer dogs here.
